About the Mazda AZ-1 Liberty Walk LB40
The Mazda AZ-1 is one of Japan's most unusual and collectable kei sports cars. Introduced in the early 1990s, the lightweight AZ-1 features a mid-engine layout, rear-wheel drive, gullwing doors, and compact kei-car dimensions, giving it a unique character unlike almost anything else on the road.
Liberty Walk transformed this already distinctive little sports car with its LB40 body kit, drawing inspiration from the legendary Ferrari F40 while giving the AZ-1 an aggressive Japanese tuning identity. The conversion features dramatically widened bodywork, extended fenders, aerodynamic components, custom wheels, and a much more aggressive stance.
The LB-Hinomaru Red version takes the design even further with its bold red exterior and Japanese flag-inspired visual theme. The combination of the tiny AZ-1 platform and Liberty Walk's extreme wide-body styling creates a model with enormous visual impact despite its compact size.
