Introduced in 1970, the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC10)—better known as the "Hakosuka" GT-R—is one of the most legendary performance cars in Japanese automotive history. Its nickname, meaning "box Skyline," comes from combining the Japanese word hako (box) with Skyline, referring to its distinctive squared-off body shape.
Powered by Nissan's legendary 2.0-litre S20 DOHC inline-six engine, producing approximately 160 horsepower, the Hakosuka GT-R delivered exceptional performance for its era. Combined with its lightweight chassis and race-bred engineering, it dominated Japanese touring car racing, achieving more than 50 race victories and establishing the GT-R name as a symbol of performance and innovation.
